Chapter 15

Nashville

I know the security guards are necessary, but after two weeks they are already driving me crazy. They are nice enough, but once I leave the house I have no privacy. Anna is flying in today and she and I have a night out on the town all planned. August owes me a night of babysitting and now that his sling is finally off, I’m taking him up on his deal. I know at some point he is going to call in his two weeks I owe him of being in control, but for tonight, it is not happening.

There have been no new developments with August’s brother. He thinks maybe having the security guards have scared him away. I sure hope so, just so we can get back to normal.

I pick up Anna from the airport and she can’t quite kissing all over Sara. “She’s so cute and she’s gotten so big already.” Sara smiles at her.

“I know before you know, it she’ll be crawling all over the place.”

“Your auntie needs to move out this way so that I can play with you.” She says in a baby voice.

“Really?” I ask.

“I’ve been thinking about it. I love it here and I have nothing keeping me in Utah.”

“I would love that.” The news brings a smile to my face. I would love to have my best friend back at my side.

“What about August?” she laughs.

“You know he really loves you.”

“Love is a strong word.” She laughs.

“Well, I would love to have you close by.” I update her on August’s brother and the security guards and what to expect.

“I had no idea. Do you think this guy is dangerous?” Her cheerful expression turns to worried.

“I don’t know. I just hope he’s gone.”
